Raymond James welcomes Ohio advisor team managing approximately $769 million in assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Marcus Jones, CFP®, Eric Sommers, Michael “Mick” Foster and Christine Rutherford, CFP®, CRPC®, to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel ­– in Perrysburg, Ohio, according to Amy Smart, Central regional director for RJA.

The team arrives from Wells Fargo, where they previously managed approximately $769 million in client assets, and are joined by senior registered client service associate Christie Watson and client service associate Abbey Cymbola. As Foster Jones Sommers Investment Group of Raymond James, they serve families and individuals, family offices, endowments and foundations, pre-retirees and corporate executives as a part of RJA’s Perrysburg branch.

Jones’ credentials include a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Raymond James, he began his career at Prudential in 1995 where he served for five years. Most recently, he served at Wells Fargo for over 16 years.

Sommers earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and brings over 31 years of financial services industry experience to his role as vice president of wealth management. He began his career in 1993 at Prudential before transitioning to Wells Fargo where he served for 16 years.

Bringing over 16 years of financial services industry experience to his role as vice president, wealth management, Foster began his career in 1998 at Prudential. Most recently, he served at Wells Fargo for 16 years. His experience is backed by a bachelor’s degree in business from Heidelberg College.

Rutherford holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Bowling Green State University along with the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designations. In total, she brings over five years of financial services industry experience to her role as vice president of wealth management, most recently serving at Wells Fargo for five years.
