Raymond James celebrates Memphis Mid-South Pride
As first-time sponsors of the Memphis Mid-South Pride Fest, Raymond James came together to join more than 20,000 attendees at the 15th annual celebration, powered by Mid-South Pride. Raymond James associates supported the LGBTQ+ community in Memphis on Saturday, September 29, with over 45 Raymond James associates representing 14 different departments from all three Memphis locations.
This year’s event was the largest to date, with 160 vendors filling Tom Lee Park while over 80 groups participated in Saturday’s parade, marching and celebrating down Beale Street.
Led by the Pride Inclusion Network, Raymond James associates, friends and family members volunteered throughout the day at the Raymond James booth to welcome festivalgoers, provide information about our services and job opportunities, and march down Beale Street as one of the 80 groups participating in the parade.
On Saturday morning, volunteers arrived at 7:30 a.m. to deliver supplies including water, marketing materials and giveaways. This year’s booth featured a full photo booth stocked with fun props, as well as a pet station, which offered water and treats to weary pooches. The enthusiasm of the volunteers was contagious!
The success of this year’s festivities was a true testament to our volunteers and work stream leads who dedicated their time to show support and represent the firm’s commitment to ensuring our LGBTQ+ associates, advisors, clients, and members of the communities in which we live and work are afforded equal rights and dignity.
It takes all of us to move equality forward. Happy Pride!
