Celebrating Women Soaring at Raymond James

Women from across the firm came together to honor and inspire

Strength. Resilience. Empowerment.

That’s what was on the agenda at the Raymond James Women’s Inclusion Network’s (WIN’s) annual Women Soaring Conference held March 8 to 11, 2022. And, once again, that’s what was delivered.

“Weeks later, I’m still hearing comments from attendees about how energized and inspired they were by the conference events,” said Raymond James COO Kim Jenson, WIN’s executive sponsor. “The timing was just right to gather, to share personal stories, to explore career journeys, to welcome a return to some normalcy and, importantly, to honor each other.”

The Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) supports women’s professional and career development at Raymond James by fostering an environment that attracts and retains professional women who will contribute to the firm’s long-term success.

The conference attracted 890 associates and advisors from across Raymond James. Their feedback ranged from feeling like they gained more direction for their professional development and navigating their careers to relishing the opportunity to build connections and learn to make positive change in their lives.

With topics ranging from effective communication and evaluating career paths to gender equity allyship over the four days, there was no shortage of opportunities to explore new ideas and strengthen connections. The session that opened the conference on International Women’s Day also proved to be the most popular – a keynote conversation with noted author and activist Glennon Doyle.

While most of the event was virtual, the session with Doyle was one of a few that also offered a hybrid in-person element. “The timing of having the event the week before our return to office just added to its value and energy,” said Erin Linehan, chief compliance officer and WIN’s national co-chair. “The event has become something that the women of Raymond James look forward to for inspiration and professional development, and this year was no exception. The firm has become a place where extraordinary women work and inspire and support each other to be more extraordinary. The Women Soaring Conference is part of that.”
